Synopsis:

The Basque people, whose language is an enigma for many, use the same term to name their inhabitants and the speakers of the Basque language: euskalduna (translated as possessors of Euskara).

However, in the other side of the border, in the French Basque Country, this word euskalduna undergoes an interesting variation from euskaldunak to eskualdunak, a word made up of the lexemes esku (hand) ahaldunak (powerful), which allows us to evoke other universes.
